In addition to an interpreter’s ability to facilitate communication, there are a number of other critical skills necessary when working as part of the educational team. These other skills, called Soft Skills, are frequently overlooked and need to be developed and refined.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to identify soft skills and how they relate to various stakeholders within the educational system. Through the use of activities, participants will learn strategies to refine these skills and become a more effective educational interpreter.
